Tonka Steel Classics Mighty Dump truck and Tonka Bulldozer toy review

When we received these amazing Tonka toys through the post I was so excited. I was immediately taken back to my childhood when my Nan had one of my Dads old Tonka toys in the shed. It was amazing and myself and my siblings would always fight over who was going to play with it first, we had hours of fun.

The Tonka Steel Classics range is back to the roots of the company and built to last, built on the notion that 'a toy shouldn't break just because a child plays with it'.

We received the Mighty Dump Truck and a bulldozer. The Tonka yellow immediately made me all nostalgic as we opened the packaging to get to the toys inside. The mighty dump truck was the first to be played with. It’s huge! The children had great fun pushing it around the garden, filling it with toys, shifting sand in the sandpit and so much more. Their imaginations went wild and they used it in so many different play scenarios.

The bulldozer is smaller in size than the dump truck but still a very decent size for play either indoors or outdoors. With a scoop bucket at the front and caterpillar running tracks. Again this was used outdoors, there were races between the two toys, sand play and more.

Both products are suitable for ages 3+ and are fab robust toys that will last for so many years. With the classic steel yellow body and black wheels, caterpillars and detailing. The Mighty Dump truck as a yellow bed that raises and lowers for hours of fun, scooping up sand from the sand pit, or mud for messy play. Also great for transporting toys around the house too with it's large size yet stable enough to be pushed without toppling over too.

The mighty dump truck retails at around £59.99 and the bulldozer retails at around £23.99.

The mighty bulldozer measures an impressive 27.9 x 48.3 x 29.2 centimetres and we were so impressed with the build and quality of the product. It was played with by a 3 year old as well as the teens (although they won’t want me mentioning that!) even I enjoyed not only watching the children play but joining in too, they created so many fun games with the Tonka toys.
