Only 4 weeks until the Summer holidays start. Sounding like my Nan as I exclaim 'How fast did that year go' and looking at Summer Holiday days out to enjoy. Legoland, Paultons Park, Marwell Zoo, a day out in London and more.

So it's only 4 weeks until the Summer Holidays start and there is always plenty of days out to be had and activities to enjoy. From Paultons Park and Peppa Pig World to days out in London, Warner Bros Harry Potter studio tours, Marwell Zoo, Thorpe Park and more besides to choose from.

The last year seems to have flown by and I can't believe that Thing 4 will have finished his first year at school already. Thing 2 will no longer be one of the newcomers at secondary school and I will be loosing Thing 5 to preschool for 2.5 days a week which means I will have no children to look after.

This will be the first time that I haven't had a new baby to look after whilst the second youngest is at preschool. It will seem very weird but I am very much looking forward to it. As the children grow up and move onwards and upwards in school our lives will change and Mummy will have free time to get back into work (eeek!)

Back to the present for now and the impending Summer Holidays. If you aren't off on holidays then days out and activities are something that will help us through the six weeks off of school.

Not one for wanting to spend a fortune on days out over the Summer especially with 3 adults and 4 children in the house, I like to look towards our local woods for some light relief from the walls of the house and confinement of the garden. Although the children have a climbing frame and a few outdoors toys it's good to get them out on a long walk. We can take a picnic and find one of the many grassed areas to sit and eat, take a ball for a kick around or let them explore and find trees and pick flowers etc.... The walk around the lake is always nice (and tiring) for them and we can also feed the ducks.

However, when days out and about are needed or wanted there are a few places local to us that we can head to. A few on our list are;

Marwell Zoo. It's always lovely to go and visit the Zoo and see all of the different animals. With play areas, picnic areas, a train ride and much more to do on your day out.

Marwell Zoo

Legoland Windsor. This is a must visit destination. Lots of rides to choose from for all of the family. It does get very busy so be prepared to queue but that's inevitable with any theme park in the Summer Holidays. Get your driving license at driving school or get wet on the Vikings River Splash.

Thing 4 at Legoland Windsor

Paultons Park including Peppa Pig World. Lots of rides geared towards the younger thrillseekers here so an ideal destination if you have younger visitors. Peppa Pig world is very popular with the Peppa Pig fans and they have characters making appearances throughout the day around the Peppa Pig area. As well as all of the rides within the main park including the The Edge and The Magic Carpet plus lots more.

Peppa Pig World

Coral Reef. This swimming pool is local to us in Bracknell. With it's flume rides, giant water slides and rapids as well as its lazy river and toddler pool areas there is something for everyone here.

Thorpe Park. Another theme park local to us but with more rides for the older children and adults in your party. For the younger ones there is Mr Monkey's Banana Ride, Rocky Express and Depth Charge and for the older thrillseekers there is Colossus, Nemesis Inferno and Saw- The Ride.

Heading into London for the Science Museum, Natural History Museum, Madame Tussauds, The London Eye. London Aquarium, and much much more. There is always something for everyone in London. Maybe catch a show with kids go free at selected shows in August and then grab a bite to eat in the Hard Rock Cafe, Rainforest Cafe or nip into Harrods for The Disney Cafe.

The Disney Cafe at Harrods.

Heading towards Watford we have the amazing Warner Brothers Harry Potter studio tours. (Keep your eyes peeled for a review post in a couple of days). A huge display of room sets and props from the Harry Potter films and also now includes the Hogwarts Express on display and an impressive model of Hogwarts too.

Warner Bros Harry Potter studio tour

Nipping down the road we also have Virginia Waters for a walk around the lake and an explore, Runnymede for a walk along the River Thames, a play in the park and splash pool and an ice cream, Wellington Country Park and more.

Runnymede outdoor splash pool

You can also catch a boat ride along the Thames from Runnymede

Not forgetting our local trampoline centre Gravity Force for the days where it may be rainy and you need the kiddies to burn off some energy. With its Main Court, Tumble Tracks, Foam Pit, Basketball and lots more it will keep the kids extremely entertained and hopefully wear them out!

So if you are stuck for things to do in the local area of Hampshire/Surrey and London this is just a very few things of lots and lots to do over the Summer holidays to keep the small ones busy.

Are you going on holiday over the Summer Holidays?

What are your best days out destinations over the UK? Let me know in the comments, :-)

Feeling totally disheartened after my most recent Slimming World weigh in and why I've chosen to go sugar free and try some 'clean living' for a week.

It was weigh in night last night at my local Slimming World class. I have completely lost my way on my Slimming World journey and I really don't know which way to go. I know I don;t want to go back to where I started, nobody wants to go there. However, I have become completely stuck for the past 6 months or more at the same weight or yo yo'ing up and down a couple of pounds here and there.

Looking back to this time last year which is when I hit my target at Slimming World and it really annoys me that I haven't stuck to my plan of losing more but actually put some of it back on again. This is my post from last year about reaching my Slimming World target.

Last years achievements when I hit my first target.

Over the past 2 weeks I have done nothing but gain and become truly disheartened with it all and myself. I haven't stuck completely to plan but haven't over indulged in anything to the point where I can pinpoint exactly where the weight gain has come from. I am now at a stage where I want to get back to target and further but back to target would be fine. If I'm good it will only take a few weeks but it's enough weight gain to get me annoyed and hopefully fired up to lose it again.

So this week I have decided to go completely sugar free plus try and eat as 'clean' as I can. This is a biggy for me! I live on tea which has 2 sweeteners in, I do snack on a biscuit or two every now and again and my meals aren't always as healthy as they could be. So this week is going to be tough.

I started this morning with scrambled egg for breakfast and 2 glasses of water have been drunk so far. Lunch is a salad and I'm yet to focus on dinner. However I have realised, through the help of friends, that planning ahead is key. I don't want to get to dinner and be stumped as to what to cook so end up cooking anything I like so I am planning ahead and preparing a few meals in advance.

I'm about to cook up a load of chicken breasts which may be my main staple food for the weeks dinners with lots of veg on the side. I need to look up various different meal ideas and am also upping my workout time on top of my walks/jogs that I do.

I will update next Wednesday after weigh in to see what the change is. It might be the kick up the bottom I need because something really needs to change.

Have you ever cut out sugar or something else from your diet to make a change?

Did you stick to it?

What results did you see?

My Sunday Photo 14/06/2015 #MySundayPhoto

We recently attended an event at Kensington Roof Gardens. A little oasis on the rooftops amidst the hustle and bustle of Kensington High Street. Once up there it's easy to forget where you are. This is just one part of the gorgeous terraced areas. There was also a lovely grassed area, small stream and flamingoes!!

The Bugaboo Runner launch event at Kensington Roof Gardens. Introducing the Bugaboo Runner jogger stroller. A complete three wheeler jogger pushchair or an added extra for your existing Bugaboo seat unit. #RunFree

The Bugaboo Runner can be bought as a complete pushchair or just the chassis and adaptors to fit your existing Bugaboo seat unit.

Last week we attended the launch event for the Bugaboo Runner. I was so excited to go and see the Bugaboo Runner and give it a good test drive with Thing 5 on board. I have just got back into jogging around the local woods and the Bugaboo Runner has caught my eye as it seems perfect for our needs.

The Bugaboo Runner can be both rearward or forward facing with a choice of seat positions too.

Last year I bought another three wheeler pushchair. Without looking too much into it I assumed that all three wheeler pushchairs were ideal for jogging/running. So when my purchase arrived I was surprised to see on the side of the box that it wasn't suitable as a jogger/runner pushchair. After that I looked into lots of different makes of three wheeler pushchair and was surprised to see how many others said the same thing.

So I was delighted at the beginning of this year when the Bugaboo announcement came about the Bugaboo Runner. Available as a complete pushchair package or you can buy the chassis as an accessory if you already have a Bugaboo pushchair as the chassis will fit an existing Bugaboo seat unit. Just click on your Cameleon3, Bee (2010 model onwards), Donkey or Buffalo seat unit and away you go.

With the new and improved 5 point release harness.

With large 16" back wheels and a 14" fixed front wheel with tracking control for optimal stability and they are also air filled with built-in suspension for a smooth push and comfortable ride.

The large 15" rear wheels and 14 " fixed front wheel

Suitable for use from 9 months for jogging with your child the Bugaboo Runner is ideal to fit into your lifestyle. Whether you choose to have your child rearward or forward facing with a choice of seat positions with a one hand recline.

With a one touch foot brake the same as the Bugaboo Bee foot brake and also a speed control brake than runs along the entire handle bar allowing you to adjust your speed with either hand.

The speed control hand brake and height adjustable handle bar.

With a spacious and easily accessible basket for all of your essentials, height adjustable handle bar, large coverage hood, raincover, mudguards and a compact fold, the Bugaboo Runner is everything you need for an active lifestyle.

Large, spacious easy access basket.

It costs £583 for the full pushchair package or £349 for the Bugaboo Runner chassis (with adaptors to attach you existing Bugaboo seat unit to the chassis).

Please check back with us in a couple of weeks when we will be putting a Bugaboo Runner though its paces, allowing us to #RunFree, full details will be available after we have given it a good test drive.

Review post of the gorgeous Vertbaudet children's clothing collection for newborn up to age 14 years. So many clothing options to choose from. Summer dress, vest tops, jeans and more.

We were recently sent some lovely children's clothes from the current Vertbaudet collection. With five children I am always shopping for new clothes for one of them and sometimes it's not always easy to find clothes that you like.

The Vertbaudet collection is packed full of choice for boys and girls from newborn right up to age 14 years. This age range is fab and currently covers four out of my five children.  This is great as it means I can shop from the comfort of my own home and have clothes delivered to my door for four children in one package.

I was sent a gorgeous Summer dress for my 8 year old, a lovely cardigan and 3 pack of vest tops for my 5 year old and a pair of jeans for my 2 year old.

The Summer dress is lovely. It's 100% cotton and is lined. From the girls Cosmic Zoo range it is sleeveless but with a lovely rounded neck detail with thick shoulder straps. We choose the lovely white print design. A white background with large flower style print to the front and an all over print to the back. It looks lovely on and it has a lovely shape to it when worn. Ideal for warm summer days and looks lovely for wearing out to parties and special occasions too.

My daughter loved the dress. It was light and floaty and fitted lovely. Available in age 2 years to 14 years and currently on offer with prices starting at £12.60. Same style dress available in other patterns too.

Next up is the gorgeous teal knitted boys cardigan. This is a gorgeous item. The colour is lovely and the cardigan is an ideal cover up for chilly Summer evenings. The zip up design makes it easier for my son to do by himself rather than having fiddly buttons. It looks lovely and smart on and washes extremely well. It is a 100% cotrton jersey knit.

Boys zip up cardigan, available in age 2 years to 14 years and currently on offer with prices starting at £10.40 (other colours available)

The three pack of vest are fabulous value for money. The colours are great and their a few colour combinations to choose from when purchasing. We chose the navy, aqua and grey colour three pack with boat/car and tiger print to the fronts. Ideal for the warmer Summer days and holidays away. Small folding, easy to wash and great to put on with a pair of shorts for the beach or play in the garden. 100% cotton jersey (grey marl 83% cotton and 17% viscose).

A lovely three pack of vests available in age 2 years to 14 years. Superb value on offer at the moment with prices starting at just £7.20 for the set of three and lots of other colours available too.

Last but not least is the gorgeous jeans that were tried out by my two year old. These were a lovely soft denim material. With the adjustable ribbed waistband which is always very handy and elasticated around the ankles these look lovely on. A zip detail to the front and a small Vertbaudet badge label to the back of the waistband. I loved the look of these jeans. They were loose and comfortable on my 2 year old unlike some jeans I have bought from other retailers which aren't generously cut at all and he an sometimes look uncomfortable. These are 100% cotton denim and they wash extremely well. No colour loss on the first wash and such a lovely feel fabric.

Boys elasticated hem denim jeans, £15 for age 2 years to 8 years.

All of the items and so much more can be found on the Vertbaudet website now in their current Summer collection. With new lower prices so you only pay one price for ages 2 years through to 9 years. Free delivery when you spend £30 or more.
