Review of aden and anais classic collection muslin swaddle wraps. The best by far for a multitude of uses, including snuggly cuddles.

I was lucky enough recently to receive some gorgeous aden and anais muslin swaddle wraps. From their classic collection I was sent the gorgeous Make Believe design which are lovely and unisex. Each muslin has a different design which are themed around the same colours etc.. They arrive in a set of 4 and are rolled up individually on a lovely box giving lots of detail and information on the product inside and a guide on how to swaddle.

This is the 4 pack 'Make Believe' set from the classic collection. The print is lovely, we love the stars and teddies.

Once we unpackaged them and took one out to use we were amazed by the size of them. Measuring 120 cm by 120 cm each these are lovely for swaddling baby as well as many other uses. My son is 10 months old and these are still plenty big enough to swaddle him, wrap him, use as a cover on hotter days and also to drape over the pram to keep some shade in the warmer weather. He loves to cuddle up with one when he falls asleep in the pram or when he is feeling tired it gives some comfort.

As with all muslin material they are also good as cleaning up cloths, as we all know, babies aren't the cleanest of tiny beings and Aden and Anais swaddle muslins give good coverage for many different mishaps, spillages and baby 'deposits' that would usually end up on our shoulder! I would like to add that we hardly ever use them as these as they are too good and we try and keep them for swaddling and cuddling but sometimes, in emergencies, needs must!

This leads me on to wash and wear. These swaddles have been with us for about a month now and are in constant use, there is one still brand new in the packet but the other 3 are on a round of wash, use, wash, use with one always in the change bag ready for if we have to rush out of the door, we wouldn't want to forget one. Whether they are draped on my shoulder, wrapped around my son or being an emergency play mat when we are out and about, we have certainly put them through their paces in the short time they have been with us. I have to say they wash so well and look fantastic and still like new. Most times they are washed on a quick wash and very rarely need anything longer or hotter than a 30 degree spin in the machine.

He always has his swaddle to hand, just in case!

Muslin squares have always been on the baby essentials shopping list with each of my pregnancies. It has taken until baby number 5 to discover these wonderful swaddles and we are hooked. Even hubby, who generally isn't very forthcoming with his thoughts on baby items was quick to say how fab he thinks they are and are so worth the initial outlay and will last for a very long time.

Made from 100% cotton they are breathable and soft and the light, open weave allows a babies body temperature to regulate itself naturally to avoid overheating.

As well as the uses we have already tried out they can also be used for lots more including change table covers, portable cot sheets, pushchair liners and lots more, they really are very versatile and the large size is a big selling feature to enable them to be used in so many different ways.

Available to purchase in unisex designs as well as girls and boys colours and also available in single packs as well as packs of two, three or four. These would make an ideal gift for any expectant or new Mum and are an essential in any household with a small baby in need of a swaddle.

The RRP on the aden and anais swaddles range from £17.95 for a single swaddle wrap from the classic collection up to £44.95 for a 4 pack from the same collection. There is also a cosy collection which are a double layer muslin, an organic collection and a bamboo collection with prices varying between the different collections.

As you can see he sleeps with his swaddle, either covered with it or wrapped in it.

These are an investment which will really last and withstand the perils of a baby and then the lovely and hugs of a toddler and are well worth it. I would recommend these to everyone and many people have commented on them when we have been out and about, whether it be the design that they comment on or the generous sizing of them. After many washes they have become softer too and we never go anywhere without one, or two!

We give a big thumbs up to aden and anais for producing such lovely muslins swaddle wraps that can be used for such a variety of different uses, obviously cuddly baby swaddles are our best use. We will certainly be investing in some more for our collection as they are always in use.
